About this policyHanapp is a marketplace in the Philippines for people 18 and up. This page says what we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it and what you can do about it. We follow the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
What we collectYour account: name, email, username and password. Your password is stored scrambled, so no one at Hanapp can read it.Your profile and shop: photo, banner, bio, city, interests, shop name, Instagram and TikTok handles, and a mobile number if you add one.Your deals: listings and their photos, claims, offers, bids, reviews, payment receipts and shipping proof you upload, and the shipping name, phone and address you give for an order. If you sell: the payment details and QR codes you add so buyers can pay you.Chats: your messages and the photos you send.Verification: a photo of your ID and a selfie when you ask to be ID verified. Verified+ asks for two IDs, but it isn’t open yet.How you use Hanapp: your searches, when you were last active and how many minutes a day you use the app. Listing and shop views are counted as totals, with no names. Page speed and error reports carry no names either.Your area: only the city you pick or the city your phone’s location points to. We never save your exact location.Reports and support messages you send us.Small files in your browser (cookies) that keep you signed in and remember your area.
Why we use itTo run your account and your deals, show you finds near you, and tell you about your orders, chats and follows. To keep Hanapp safe: check IDs, review reports, stop scams and spam, and limit accounts that break our Rules. To fix bugs and make Hanapp faster. We don’t sell your data, and we don’t show ads from other companies.
Who sees itEveryone: your profile, shop, listings, reviews and when you were last active. The other person in a deal: your chat with them. Your mobile number only after you both agree to share. When you send a payment receipt, the seller sees the shipping name, phone and address you gave. Buyers who claim an item see the seller’s payment details. The Hanapp team: ID photos and selfies, reports and support messages, and account details when we need them to keep Hanapp safe or to answer you.Companies that run Hanapp for us: Supabase stores our database, logins and files on servers in Singapore. Vercel runs the website. They use your data only to run Hanapp. If you sign in with Google, Facebook or Apple, they share your name and email with us.The authorities, only when Philippine law requires it.Buyers pay sellers directly. Hanapp holds no money and never sees your bank or e-wallet login.
How long we keep itID photos and selfies: seen only by the Hanapp team, and deleted once your request is decided and we no longer need them. We keep the decision.Searches: 90 days.Everything else: while your account is open, or until you delete it.
Deleting your accountGo to Settings, then Login and security, then Delete account. Finish or cancel your open orders and bids first. We remove your profile details and photos, ID photos, payment QR codes, addresses, saved items, follows, notifications, and the shipping details on your past orders. Your listings are hidden.Past orders, chats and reviews stay for the other person, shown as Deleted user. We keep a locked login record with your email removed, so the account can’t be used again. We also keep support messages and reports so the team can handle problems.
