How Hanapp works
Everything you need to buy, bid and sell with confidence.
Buying
- ID verified sellers have Buy now. Tap it to reserve the item. It’s yours while the payment timer runs.
- Other sellers sell through offers. Chat or make an offer, and once they accept, the item is held for you and you can pay.
- Pay the seller using one of their payment options (GCash, Maya, bank or QR), then upload your receipt before the timer ends.
- If the timer runs out, the item goes back up for the next buyer. No more joy reservers.
- Want a better price? Make an offer on any fixed-price item.
Bidding
- Some items are up for bidding, IG thrift style. Each bid has to go up by the seller’s set amount.
- The highest bid when the timer ends wins. Bids in the last 2 minutes add 2 more minutes, so nobody wins by sniping.
- If you win, you get 24 hours to pay. We’ll tell you if someone outbids you.
Drops and collections
- Drops are run by ID verified shops. They stay locked until drop time. Tap Remind me and we’ll tell you before it opens.
- When it opens, the first to claim and pay gets each piece.
- Collections are themed sets from a shop, shoppable right away or at a set time.
Pasabuy (coming soon)
- Coming soon. A pasabuy is when a seller buys something for you, often on a trip abroad.
- Only Verified+ sellers can run a pasabuy, because you pay before the item is in the seller’s hands. They send two valid IDs and a selfie with both, the Hanapp team reviews them by hand, and Hanapp checks their ticket for every trip.
- You and the seller both agree to the terms before you pay. Each seller also has a limit on open orders and money.
- Join before the cut-off and pay the downpayment. The seller has to show proof of purchase before asking for the balance.
- After you pay, you can’t cancel. If the seller can’t get your item, they must refund your downpayment.
- Hanapp’s banned items list still applies, including food, medicines and vitamins. Sellers must declare goods at customs.
Getting your item
- Each listing shows how you can get it: courier, same-day rider (Lalamove, Grab Express, Borzo), meetup or pickup.
- You pick one when you pay. For meetups, choose a busy public place and check the item before you leave.
Selling
- Anyone can list pre-loved items from a personal closet. Snap photos, set a price or start a bid, and pick how buyers can get it.
- Shops and small brands get drops, collections, a link for their bio, live links and an order dashboard.
- Add the ways buyers can pay you before you list. Buyers only see them after they claim.
- Get ID verified by sending an ID or business document. ID verified sellers get Buy now and drops, and a blue check next to their name.
Staying safe
- Keep your chats in Hanapp so there’s a record. Be careful with anyone asking you to move to another app or pay somewhere other than their listed payment details.
- Check a seller’s verification level, reviews and when they were last active.
- Report anything that feels off from the listing, chat or profile.
- Hanapp doesn’t hold your money yet. Payments go straight to the seller, so we can’t refund them, but we do remove scammers and fake listings.
